Dear Friends,
Joyful greetings to you.
We start as usual with details of the two Silent Weekends at Mount St. Josephs Abbey, Roscrea.
The first is from Friday 31st March – Sunday 2nd April 2017 and the second from Friday 6th –  Sunday 8th October 2017.
Please contact me directly at michael@ if you would like to attend either.

As many of you may know William Main, who contributed so much to communicating the tradition of meditation, passed from images and dreams into reality on 22nd October last.  William died in Vermont USA, in the gentle care of Barbara West and his brother Donald. A funeral mass will be held in St. Michael’s Church, Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry at 11am on 22nd April 2017 with burial of ashes afterwards in Ballinskelligs Abbey.

To comemorate William’s life we plan to hold a Memorial Conference - Ut Vitam Habeant in Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry from 10/9/2017 – 15/9/2017.Speakers include;
Fr. Paul Geraghty, Director of Spiritual Services, Children’s Hospital Montreal Canada.
Paul lived and worked with John Main OSB at the Benedictine Priory Montreal up to and after his death in 1982 and keeps the spirit of the Priory alive in Canada.

This is a preliminary notice and full details will be available in due course.  Please contact james@ if you are interested in attending the Ut Vitam Habeant Conference.  We would welcome early expressions of interest to facilitate the booking of accommodation.  For any of you who may not know it Ballinskelligs is a wonderfully rich environment in the South Kerry Gaeleacht, adjacent to Skellig Michael and we hope the event will be an enriching one for all who make the journey.
